Anezka (pictured here on the right with the Biggest Mushroom Ever) has enterprisingly started her own little Blog - draciohen - which, by the way, means Dragon's Fire... - however very pink and sweet. Have a look...

Ahoj Ale,
What have happened to you, it's already 2008! Wake up man, we (that's the world, our world) would like to know what you've been doing since X-mas...
Wanted to wish all the best to you, the wife, the kids, the band and all the Nova Vesky inhabitants, we hope to get aquainted with though this blogsite.
Pity I couldn't be there this Christmas Season.
By the way, it's a misunderstanding that Coca Cola introduced the Santa as we know him (allthough they cleaverly commercialised him).
A BBC-documentary tried to unravel the myth recently. The origin is the good old Dutch St. Nicholas, popularly named Sinterklaas, the Anglosaxons in the States liked him (because he was more friendly than their own St. Nicholas, and indeed he was dressed in bright red) and turned him into Santa Claus. Then the Brits at home copied this American icon. But of course the Dutch do not invent saints themseves. The first ever Sint Nicholas comes from Turkey! (as do the tulips) He was the bishop of Myrna, in the old days before the Ottomans invaded Turkey (than a orthodox-christian country).
Nowadays we in Holland tell our children that Sinterklaas comes from Spain by boat every year again to treat the good children and to punish the bad. He takes the bad in big bags back home to Spain. All through my entire life I never encountered bad children in Holland, as I can't recall one case where a child was deported to Spain. Either Sinterklaas is bad-eyed or senile, as I think there are lots of bad boys nowadays in Holland.
If only I could play the role of Sinterklaas once...
Anyway hope to hear from you soon again.
